Les and Stella live in Sunny Saffron Walden in Essex UK. For my sins they remember
me on their old local radio station Saxon Radio from so many years ago I care not to remember!!
Les and Stella's elder daughter Suzy lives in Den Haag in the Netherlands (another of my old haunts!) with her fiance
Maurice.
Maurice has sent some great photos of 3 days out in the Oberland!! First off up the Rothorn.. as Mike would say 'getting all steamed up!'
Trains, steam, oil, power, grease, (grunt grunt!) it's a boy thing! So Maurice and Les enjoy a boys day
out!
It was cloudy when liz and I first did this trip, you couldn't see more than ten metres! Wonderful views
were there somewhere.
Next it's time to enjoy a trip on the Lotschberg piddle stormer below.. no it's not a typing mistake,
that's what Les and Stella's daughters called this grand old lady when they were young... Les tells me the name has stuck.
